Alhosn app named winner of Bronze Medal Stevie® Award in Most Valuable Government Response in 19th Annual International Business Awards®

Alhosn app was named the winner of the Bronze Medal Stevie® Award in the Most Valuable Government Response category in the 19th Annual International Business Awards® today (October 15), in recognition of its significant role in controlling the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic within the United Arab Emirates, through digital solutions made available, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Prevention and local health authorities.

The International Business Awards are the world’s premier business awards program. All individuals and organizations worldwide – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small - are eligible to submit nominations. The 2022 IBAs received entries from organizations in 67 nations and territories.

Winners were celebrated during a gala banquet at the InterContinental London Park Lane Hotel, in London, England, on Saturday, 15 October – the first live IBA awards ceremony since 2019.

More than 3,700 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories, including Company of the Year, Marketing Campaign of the Year, Best New Product or Service of the Year, Startup of the Year, Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year, and Executive of the Year, among others.  This year’s competition also featured a number of new categories to recognize organizations’ and individuals’ achievements in social media and thought leadership.

Alhosn aims to protect individuals and society from the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic by identifying and classifying individuals infected with the virus, who need to be self-isolated, and non-infected who are allowed to access public places and workplaces, which contributes to containing the pandemic and maintaining the safety of people and their families. The app also enjoys high confidence, credibility, and reliability inside and outside the country, as the travel permit registered in the Alhosn is recognized in the European Union system of digital certificates of COVID-19 and other similar systems.

Alhosn, which is the official application in the UAE, uses  artificial intelligence technology to control the spread of the pandemic, through quick access to the results of COVID-19 tests, vaccination certificates and exemptions, and the  QR  code in the application can be read, through smartphone cameras, or the scanner built into the app, to identify vaccinations and tests in an encrypted form, and in three languages: Arabic, English and Hindi.
